Question Q for DFW members

Here is the deal. My brother and I just replaced the motor in his 85 short wide. Realy nice truck, just no power. Needless to say we put in a 350 instead of another 305.

We went to a wrecking yard and found some great non-air injection 2.25 manifolds and 3" y-pipe from a TBI sub for $35. He had a 3" Catco converter and flowmaster put on (sounds great). Bought a used non-EGR Performer and he has a new M4ME q-jet on the way. The motor is a .030 over 8.5-1 350 with a summit 204/214 cam.

My question is what do you guys think about this thing passing emmissions? I'm pretty sure it will pass the sniffer test even without the EGR, but I could be wrong. We left the huge stock air cleaner and painted the intake black so unless they know where to look for the missing EGR it looks completely stock.

What do you guys think? If he has to we'll put a EGR Performer on it when the time comes. Does he have a chance?

Now we have to swap those 2.73's for some 3.42's, damn what was GM thinking!

Thanks,
James
