Cam woes

Some of you may remember but back in October I changed the cam in my 427. It had a Performer RPM which was just a little bit too much. I replaced it with a Crane Powermax H272. This cam worked great but recently (about 5000 miles) I had a lobe go flat on me. I have replaced about 6 cams over the last few years with no problems so I figured with the reputation that big blocks have for eating cams it was just the odds. Well, Summit exchanged the cam under warranty and even replaced the Felpro gasket kit with it. This weekend I installed the new cam (following Cranes install instructions to the letter) and I am completely at a loss. The truck runs OK while it is parked but when I drive it there is NO power and the valve train is very noisy. Tonight I pulled the covers to try readjusting the valves and discovered at least 4 pushrods not rotating. I can only assume that this cam is f'ed up now. Anyone else had problems with Crane Cams? Am I missing something here?
