Licence plate light LED Upgrade
Today I noticed *yet again* my licence plate light burn out! I am tired of fighting with this and I have a cop looking for me (beat her in court over a sh*t ticket) so I need to get the thing fixed. Probably a ground issue, but hell I don't have the time! Sooo, I used two white LEDs I had for another project and created a LED "bulb". What I did was cut a little empty circuit board to set inside the lens of the light. (I have the standard chrome bumper with one large licence light) I soldered a resistor and the two white LEDs to the board. I took the housing and shaved off the bulb holder (it was in the way of the board). I soldered a wire to the center terminal on the bulb holder and the ground was just a bare wire in one of the screw holes. I stuck it together and tested it out. Looks great! The 2 LEDs light it up - just enough to loko pretty but not say LOOK AT MEEEE!!!! I will get pictures Monday.
