GMC 150 Tool Locations & Spare Tire?

Good evening

I am a newbie to this having just purchased a 1950 GMC 150 that is in real nice shape. I bought it on line and had it shipped 1200 miles or so. So I have little information


I am still learning my way around it and have some questions.

I read the Chevy manual on line and it says the tool kit and jack were stored under the seat in those models years. However my GMC manual makes no such mention. In addition the seat bottom does not seem to come up.

I would like to mount the spare on the side. Is there a supplier who makes that bracket?
