Rocker Panel Replacement

So a thought crossed my mind today. I'm going to replace my rocker panels, but my cab is off the frame. Is this something that can be done, or should I set the cab back on the frame with the fenders bolted up so that I can ensure that the rockers line up with the fenders?

TIA
Mike
