Catchin the retro wave!

After leaving my world of '66 Chevelles and a series of '69 Chevy and GMC trucks I am back to where I started !
I am sick and tired of being nickled and dimed to death by my '92 and my '97 GMC, and being held hostage to computer problems. I looked around for a new GMC to fill the barn and after talking with enough guys I am stepping back to an earlier time when i could honestly rely on my truck. Any one of my classic units could drive around the world with no issues and I just dont have the confidence in the new .
With three boys I am in the market for a 3/4 ton 4x4 Suburban and hope to build a Longhorn Crewcab 4x4 ( CAT power) when the lads are ready to learn autobody.
I am really excited to get a project going but am hoping to buy a runner.
I have looked locally but havent found one yet.
This board is amazing, everytime I have a look I just get more pumped up!!
