drive shaft LWB 1 PIECE OR 2??

ok so im trying to organize my drive shaft before i lower my truck im waiting on the flip kit and spindles!! my question is my truck has the gen 3 5.3-4l60e and sits back a couple of inches from standard, now my factory 2 piece driveshaft is too long if i get it cut down the 2" its $140 bucks ,then i need a new center bearing thats 35-75 bucks and i need a yolk mine is missing so what ever that cost !
now there is a driveshaft at a local junk yard that will fit but it needs the rear universal joint replaced no big deal for $75 BUT ITS 1 piece , so i need to remove the center bearing suport under the truck (rivets sux) now if i lower the truck with the center bearing suport removed how far can i lower it before it will foul anything ? has anyone got a LWB thats lowered with a 1 piece im going like 7 in the back !!!should i just leave it 2 piece or change it with a 1 piece ???????
