700r4 Swap

Hey all,

Just curious, I'm buying a 700r4 to put in my 72 2wd longbed. Can you buy a kit that makes it a relatively painless process? Does the shift linkage have to be reworked a lot? Should I replace the stock column with an ididit column? I've replaced transmissions before but they were always stock swaps. I'm a little lost trying this on my own. Anyone with experience? It has a high perf 350 crate motor with a th350 in it now. I've heard about issues with the drive shafts on the longbeds. Also, would the crossmember kit from ECE be a wise investment? Thanks...

Brian
