need help with non-tilt auto column

please help im tearing my hair out i reinstalled this auto column into my truck but when i put in the turn signal housing i got it to line up with the gear indicator but it keeps moving around on me. is it supposed to lock in place? i know theres tabs that the housing has to go under and turn but wont stop moving the turn signal help guys thanks!

also this shaft up by the steering wheel must be a different size because the 3/4 nut from my old tilt column doesnt fit when i put the steering wheel on.
