Put my new rallyes on!
Well I finally got a set of rallyes for my truck. It is still a work in progress but it made a big difference. I still have to get a set of trim rings for it. They are 15x10" wheel vintiques rallyes with 4.5" backspacing, and flat rallye caps.
The dust covers on the front kept the caps from sitting flush on the wheels. I went to the parts store and got some shallow dust caps, put them on, and tried fitting them again, but they was still hitting on the back of the caps. So, today I went to the local ace hardware, and got a 1 3/4" hole saw, then I took the tops off of the caps and cut holes in both front caps. I put the tops back on them, tried it again, and I got the clearance I needed. I also got my swaybar installed with moog bushings. I haven't got a chance to drive it yet so I don't know how much the drivability has improved. I have access to a late 80s Z28 parts car that still has the rear sway bar on it. I'm thinking about picking it up and putting the rear bar on as well. Anyway, here are some pictures. before: after: I guess the next thing will be some new lenses all the way around, and getting all my lights working
