steer box for the 64

I have a 64 lwb. The power sterring box I have doesnt appear to be the right box for my truck - the PO welded some steel plates to the frame rail and has this power box bolted onto the plate with steel spacers - so the box doesnt look like it bolted directly to my frame in other words.

Id prefer to go with a manual box to run 1 less accessory belt - but the only box I find fro Gm is the '525' box that is like $250 bucks!?!?

First question, Is that the right box for our trucks? Anybody have a source for them?

***Please know I am not posting this as a WTB thread

Thanks for any advice/guidance guys!!!
