200 4R TV cable adjustment pointers?
I finished replacing the 4 speed with a 200 4R and fired it up today. I used the Bowtie Overdrive wiring kit. I made my own bracket for the TV cable as they don't make one for a two barrel. Took it down the road today and obviously I haven't yet hit the proper adjustment as shifts were stacked and too close. Got it a little better by playing around but still not right. Converter seemed to be locking up too soon. Shifts fine shifting manually. I bought the tranny used and was told it had about 10,000 miles since a performance rebuild. Looked okay, as much as can be seen, when I changed filter and wiring. Has a transgo gasket above the valve body and a yoyo reverse fixer, so it did have some work done to it. In ant event, anyone have some real world advice on adjustment? I've read the info available on the various transmission sites i.e. bowtie, Art carr, etc.
