New member with a couple of engine questions.
I recently bought a 65 chevy truck like the one I had back in the 70's. It had a slight engine miss when I bought it and I thought I could tune it out. As it turns out I believe it has some worn down cam lobes from what I mearsured on the cam lifts. From the cassing numbers the engine is from the 66-72 time frame and I would like to keep it and get someone to rebuilt (long block) it. It's a chevy 6 cylinder inline 250 engine. Questions: 1. What should I expect this to cost? 2. Were could I find a new replacement oil pan? 3. Is having it shipped to an out of state builder a good option???? 4. Any tips are very much appreciated. Thanks, KB |
