Re: Got some new wheels: Boss 338's in 20x10 and 20x8.5

I thought I would post my latest update from my "original design" wheel thread.
Got my new zinc plated 1" wide rotors from SSBC.

Like I have been saying,... these 1" rotors are the answer to all the Boss 338 wheel fitment problems.
(Until the new design comes out)

Here's how much MORE the hub is recessed into the wheel which allows the cap to fit with no mods.
No machine work, no glued on cap.
The only thing I didn't try was a bearing dust cap.
But I think this is the only answer to use the old design wheel without any machine work.

The last two pics are of the cap installed and the wheel setting on the stock unmodified rotor.

So,... if you need:

1) drop spindles
2) new rotors
3) new calipers

Just buy the 1" wide stuff and you are good to go.

Drop spindles for 1" rotors are only sold in 73-87 (balljoint) versions.
So you 63-72 guys will need to change ball joints and tie rod ends.
(all of the above parts,... I needed to purchase anyway)
