New Guy in MO

Hi! My name is Monte. Been lurking around for a while now and enjoying the picture threads, and build threads. My screen name comes from the fact that my name is Monte, named after the Chevy Monte Carlo, and I have a 86 MCSS for my DD. And the Malibu comes from my '78 Malibu that is a low mile street machine. I know it is not truck related but it is my SN on my other sites. I have a 72 Cheyenne LWB 1/2ton 4x4. that has been in the family since I was a year old. I drove it some in high school after my dad bought a newer truck. Then when I was a senior I bought an 1984 Siverado 1/2 ton lwb 2wd low mile original truck. The 72 sat for a while until last winter when I did a mechanical restoration, titled it in my name, and brought it back to life. I drive it regurarly and use it to tow my boat, and hot rod. It needs body-work though. It was originally a olive/white two tone, but in the early 90's my dad removed all the trim and painted it a single color. I plan on taking it back to original or the factory orange/white two tone. I haven't decided yet. I have been gathering parts for years now: GM rockers and cab mounts, nos left fender, decent orignal right fender, low mile grill shell, 4 pairs of doors(none perfect). But I really need a cab.

Here is my '72. As you can see it is pretty rough. Pieced together to make a semi-solid truck

This is my grill loaded up in my buddy's 73 Plymouth FuryIII. I bought it at a car show swap meet and I was in my malibu, there was no way I could haul it. So we squeezed it in his car.

This was my '84 when it looked good

Here is my 84 after my 11year cousin decided to put my '72 in gear and let it roll into my '84

and here is my MALIBU!
