Hour Meter

Does the hour meter in the cluster only go to 2-3000 hrs before it rolls over back to 0? I hardly ever look at the one in my 07 Classic and flipped past it yesterday after resetting the trip odo and it was on 15.5 hrs. I cant remember if it was close to 2k or 3k hrs before. The digits all work on the odo and trip odo though. I thought it was weird that it would roll over that low with so much space left on the display? I mean if it can show 1000 hrs, then it should be able to show 9999 at least?

Any ideas, the truck has about 54k on it, but they must be mostly highway b/c I bought it with 33k and it showed around 900 hrs when I got it. I think the last time I looked at it, it was over 2k hrs but I never really pay it any attention. Except when I saw it only showed 15 hrs...
