New Mexico Truck in Canada
Hey all, I'm Steve Winsor from Ottawa, Canada. A couple of years ago I found and bought a 1965 Chev C20 pickup from a guy down the road from where I live. He had it brought up to Canada from New Mexico and had planned to restore it. Too many projects on his plate forced him to sell it. It had a 283 with parts of the connecting rods sitting in the oil pan so he put together a 350 for it. All the rest of the truck is original except the side mirrors, crappy replacement radio and the diamond plate in the bed. It has the 4 on the floor and a full floating rear end. It originally was turquoise with the white roof, but was painted silver at some point. It is the only 3/4 ton I have seen around these parts and appreciate it even more because of that. I had wanted one of the 4-5-6 trucks for a while and oddly enough a week after I bought this truck I found another not too far away a nice '65 1/2 ton. That truck is still for sale and who knows this year I may go sniffing around....here's a pic of mine....
