The trouble with having a low rider truck is that the spare doesn't fit under the bed, therefore I've been running around without one. Well, no more. I found a smoothie wheel that needed some cleaning up on craigslist for $30, and a pair of low mile BFG Radials haggled down to $50 (so I still have an extra). Add: Misc hardware, chain, lock, and paint from home Depot: $40
Trailer fender from Spectrac: $20. I'm still $50 ahead of what Summit wanted for a new matching wheel/tire, and I gave it a little bit of UV protection in the bed.

The tire needed some cleaning up...



Mounted up...yes, the center area is painted as a means to treat the surface rust. I also scrubbed down and hit the backside of the wheel with the same gray paint.


I'm pretty happy with the rattle can color match to the roof.
