Kick Panel speaker enclosure questions
I wanted to get your opinions.
I'm getting ready to make some custom kick panel speaker enclosures. I read 2 FAQs on doing it. I also read about the clearance problems with the parking brake (mine is a pedal in my 68) and the bright light switch. I also have a smoothed cowl, so the fresh air vents don't provide any air. So I was thinking that by covering over the vent holes, that would allow me to move the larger speaker (6.5" or so) up into that area and avoid the other issues. My concern is that puts the speaker awefully high up in there and wonder if it will sound bad. I was also thinking that assuming I run component speakers, with the tweater more out in the open, it won't hurt the sound too much. So what do you all think? |
