Re: Shackle flip again > 54 springs to 56
Thought you might all get a kick out of this
.
Were getting our crap in order for another overland trip around Utah coming up the first week of June. We are planning to complete a trail we ran out of time to finish last year (Hole in the Rock) then head up to Canyon Lands (Maze District and more) for the rest of the week. Weve done a lot more work to our little supply trailer by adding battery power and revamped the camp stove arrangement. We are also considering mounting a marine fuel tank in the trailer as we will need to pack more fuel this year than last due to the remoteness of this area. Today, I finally got the different tires that I mentioned a few posts ago. I love my Q78 Swampers but they are overkill for these desert trips. Got some cheap 315/75-16 Kumho KL78 Road Ventures. The steam rollers and black wheels give the truck a completely different look. It is amazing how much better the truck steers and rides with radials on it too ![]() My only regret is I should have gone to 325's instead of 315's. These are about an inch shorter than the swampers. At least there is plenty of room for suspension flex. ![]()
