Found My Tic... Now what to do...
Well I finally got time to pull the valve cover off my blazers motor. The source of the tic was painfully obvious.
I had a post completely broke off, the lifter was off. Luckily everything was there on top, no missing parts. Now I am not sure as to the next step. I know the heads for the motor are from a 305. They are supposed to breath better. I need to get the post out. Does anyone know if they are typically a threaded post or a pressed in post? Any thoughts on how to get it out? I might just take it to a shop... Also the rubber valve cover gasket is in good shape and never leaked. Can it be reused?
