Its called a pump boost bushing, DO NOT force it out. That can scare the bushing & or the pump housing.
Take a screwdriver & compress the pressure regulator spring, take out the snap ring. If the boost bushing does not come out, Take the screwdriver and work the bushing in & out against the regulator spring untill the boost bushing comes out on its own.
