vent window removal advice needed

I got some replacement vent windows for my truck. Im in the final stages of paint prep. I removed one of the orginal vents and it took a little more force to get out and I ended up having to bend it to get it out.

I woud like to keep both vent windows out until paint is finshed but Im worried now about having big problems getting the new ones in with out damaging something. My door windows are still in and I havnt planed on removing them. Did I just get frustrated trying to get the first one out? Is there some tricks I need to know about getting them out and the new ones in?
Thanks!
