Filler Ideas for Blazer Tank?

With the steel blazer tank I got from CPP installed, there is no room between the filler neck and the bottom of the bed floor. There is only about 2" between the frame and bed floor and the filler sticks up about that same amount. I was hoping to attach a filler cap just under the floor and use a billet gas door mounted flush on the top side, but not sure that's possible now without a lot of tedious cutting and welding.

I'd like to see some ideas on how others tackled it. Btw, mine is a stepper.
