Steering Column swap

I went to a local yard today and found a truck that could be a good donor. Before I make the purchase, I want to make sure this is possible. Anyhow, it's a 1983 with a tilt column. Will this column just bolt right in to my 1980 and will the harnesses plug right in? Or will I have to cut all the wires from the donor all the way down below the very bottom harness? Also, is $48 a good deal for such a column? This thing has the cruise control turn signal intact and everything, plus it's an automatic shifter on the tree so I'm hoping it can just bolt right up. Just don't want to be getting jipped and want to run it by the pros since you guys obviously know more about this than I do.

Thanks!
