new to the forum-engine question

Hello All:
Picked up a great 3/4 ton heavy duty GMC (1984) a few months ago. Drunk driver smashed into it while it was parked. Finally got it back from the body shop and would really like to put an engine in it with headers, street cam, etc. Truck is non-California (I think??) and an automatic. My question is what years of block will bolt up. A local guy has a complete HO 350 that looks really nice. Block is a 70's series I believe.

Thank-you for all of your help in advance
