MSD ignition wired directly to battery.

Is this a problem?

I can't find a good isntallation manual online but my MSD ignition system is powered directly from the battery (assuming that means it's always hot) is this proper, and if not proper is it dangerous in any way or bad for the ignition/truck/starving pygmies in guam?

I figure it should be on ACC power and not full 12v constant but I'm not sure so I figured I'd come here and ask

Thanks in advance for the help.
