Canton, Georgia 10/16/2010 - nice looking black/red - blazer/jimmy
Howdy.
This was the first thing I saw when I got out of my truck today at a big cruise in. To my rather untrained eye, it looks like a '85 and later with the sloped front hood and the raised part... Anyway, it was a solid looking truck, was missing some trim pieces, but not at all rusted out. anyway, a super nice truck, I thought. -W my '87 blazer owning and all around blazer junkie pal wrote this to me: NIIIIICE. Could be a Blazer or a Jimmy. My guess is 84-85, but he's got the grille commonly used for '82-'83. There are so MANY possible grille combos from every year! and they all fit every year. LMC can show you pages upon pages upon pages by year, if you want: http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/bzc/full.aspx?Page=28 The grills and body parts are interchangeable Only thing that ever really sticks out as diff, is the front fenders Also interchangeable, but the earlier ones had a bump/crease/line going down to the front signal light, and the light is horizontal instead of vertical: AND THAT PRE 1976, THE ENTIRE TOP CAME OFF, CAB ROOF WAS PART OF HARD TOP. ----------- |
