Using dual bag plates in the front. Pros cons?

My truck is a 84' 1/2 ton

So I am tired of tearing up my front suspention with a static drop so I have got the money set aside to bag the front of my truck.

I have been doings quite a bit of reading but haven't read anything about running dual plates in the front instead of the more common plate and cup set up. The guy selling the dual plates claims that it will allow me to not trim 3/4 inch or so off my sway bar and the dreaded bag rub I read about quite a bit. Is he blowin smoke or is this a good thing?

Also my reasoning with dual plates is that I won't go quite as low as if I had cups on the lower control arms since with cups the bad is recessed slightly into the LCA?

Please pros/cons give me your input i'm eager to learn

Any bags I will wan't to stear away from or mabey some good ones I should look into that arent crap but won't break my bank?
