Family discussion on primers

Situtation: 67 C-10: BOTTOM of cab (currently off frame, taken down to bare metal):

Question: Rattle-can (Rustoleum Red Auto Primer + Black or undercoat) vs. catalyzed etching primer? Pros and cons and experiences? Again, for the BOTTOM of the cab.
