Re: Lets see you jimmy rigs, quick fixes, and all around funny mods!!!

Just yesterday, I was behind a square-body suburban, with a Michigan tag in the left rear window. This vehicle was/is a rust bucket. The rear doors are resting on the rear frame rails. The bumper is off. On the back doors is a cheap come-a-long. One hook is in the left hinge and the other end is in the right hinge. I think it is actually there for structual reasons....thinking the back of body is trying to spread apart without that come-along. In order to keep the cable from slapping the body, there's two rubber straps that are stretched from the frame rail, over the cable and back down.....one on each door. I'm thinking that there are no body supports existing. The suburban has a lean....from front to back...and from right to left. But, it didn't smoke and the brake lights worked.

I've got to get a pic of that truck.....
