Re: 700R4 and NP205 combo

I put a 700r4 and np205 behind a 500hp 406 in my 78 k20 and it was awesome. I did not move the engine forward but had the drivelines lengthened/shortened. I didnt actually think of moving the engine forward at the time. My truck had 6" w 35's and 4.10 gears and turned 2100 at 65ish on the freeway. I had trouble getting the shift points right where I liked them but finally was able to tune the govenor with a TCI tuning kit. I bought the AA output shaft and aluminum adapter. The only problem I had was that I initially forgot to install the seal on the coupler so my tcase filled with ATF.
I thought the combo worked really well and would recomend it even though the new parts from AA cost a bundle. Phil
