Mechanical Parking Brake Caliper
Has any one used the Willwood mechanical parking brake setup on a truck or heavy vehicle before? I'm in the process of making some brake caliper brackets for a 14 bolt to go under my truck and I was just wondering about mechanical calipers and if they are any good. I am looking for some that will work with a 1.54" thick rotor and that would help hold a 3/4 ton truck and trailer on occasion. It seems that the Wilwoods are a two piece design and spacers can be made to accommodate thicker rotors.
Or if you guys have other suggestions on a mechanical parking brake setupp that would work please chime in. Thank you. Wilwood parking brake caliper Example of an installation, I would have them closer together. This is what I have going on
