Gas Tank Removal

Whats the easiest way to remove the gas tank from a 72? I need to pull it out to weld in a cab rear corner.

I have some gas in it now. Should I siphon it out? Or just remove it with whats in it. There isnt much more than a 1/4 in it now.

Tried to do a search but nothing came up on this subject.
