Got a good deal on some tires
Found out yesterday I need four new tires, the bummer being that the ones on my truck have plenty of tread left on them but they are cracking up all round the side walls from age (The guy at the tire place said they are a blowout waiting to happen!)
I did some shopping around, was offered a lot of dodgy far eastern imports at one end of the price scale and Bridgestones at the other. Anyway, somebody suggested BF Goodrich, and the long and the short of it is that I have 4 BF Goodrich Long Trail T/A's in 31x 10.5 R15 on order at the UK equivalent of $91 + tax ,with a normal list price of $143 I think that's a good deal! They are much more road biased than the no-name all-terrains on there at the moment, which are quite noisy and not very grippy in the wet. (mind you they may have gone a bit hard considering they're cracking up which probably isn't helping) Still haven't found out what this is going to cost me at home!
