Yep, I joined the OMC...Ol Man's Club. A Vintage Topper.
I had recently bought this 1970 GMC Sierra Grande LB in January with the plan to haul around band equipment. My initial intention was to put a tonneau cover for security, but I got this 1973 Vacationeer Camper top instead.
My truck had a slide-in camper which I did not want. It did serve to keep the woodbox in pretty good condition though, and that was what I wanted to continue doing. I found this guy selling this one from a 1973 GMC Sierra Grande 454 108,000 miles; both purchased new in 1973 by the original owner. The new owner who got this '73 GMC did not like the look of the Camper Top/cap/shell. His wood box was in awesome condition and I have included some pics of this exchange from one generation to another, or if you will or, a hand-me-down. I like the look, and feel it gives my truck a retro-type look as well as keeping the woodbox in it's present state; Old Guy maybe, but das me. HenryJ
