Wheel stud problem

The previous owner of my '67 installed late model 6 lug wheels. I found a nice set of the early 6 lug rally's and decided to put those on. When I removed the wheels I found he used 1" spacers and longer 1/2" wheel studs. The studs are too long for my rally's, so I started removing them and found all of them welded on from the backside. It appears someone drilled out the original bolt holes too much and the studs wouldn't grab. I thought about just leaving them on and trying to cut them to length. I'd rather replace them with correct size for the hole but I'm reaching dead ends trying to find them. The holes are just a tad over 5/8. Any help would be appreciated.
