Big Block into a 56 shortbed

I got a 427 thats i'm itchin to replace the 350 with in my old 56 pickemup truck.

Anyone out there done this ? Anything special I need to know , other than measure twice , cut once ?

there is 350 in it now, was a 6 w/od when i got it years ago. Now has a 63 vette muncie 4 speed, 11 inch clutch, 57 pontiac rear axle housing with 62 detroit locker and moser engineering axles with tapered bearings, also has the tapered bearing changeover on the front wheels. and carbon metallic brake shoes that don't heat up. Standard front and rear springs. if the big block don't lower the front too much, i think i'm set as far as the chassis and driveline goes. Any advice on the unforseen, that always crops up, will be appreciated.

P.S. I wouldn't mind locating a posi unit for my 1983, 3/4 ton Suburban.
