Warn Lock-O-Matic hubs
Just curious if any of these are still around. They were on my '72 when I bought it in '77. Took me a while to realize what they were! Many of you probably know more about them than I do, but for those not familiar with them...
I guess they were a precursor to full-time 4WD systems. You can lock 'em in (can be a ***** if the splines aren't close to being lined up!), or just leave 'em out. If they are out, they will engage automatically when the t-case is in 4wd - but only if going forward, not in reverse. They unlock when you go back to 2wd. Pretty clever, I think - handy for the occasional mudhole or slick spot when you want 4wd for just a short time.
