Need some info, looking at truck

Hi all, I have been lurking here for awhile. I don`t even have a chevy(started with fords, now I have a couple of chryslers,but I don`t have much brand loyalty yet.), I got here looking at Frizzle Fry`s Driftbeam project. Anyway, I was trolling craigs for a new truck(my old dodge is about done), and I found this. Here is the CL add text:

1971 1 ton chevy 4x4 -
sbc, havent tried to start it, last time it was on the rd was 99, parked since,

dully
eaton rear
front has huge hubs and lockouts
4 speed
205 transfer case
no bed
frame is solid, one cross member has some rust
HD front bumper with spare mounted there
has the chrome grill with blue bowtie all in very good shape
motor is supposably a 309 ?? not a 307, but not sure havent ran the numbers
body isnt real bad, front clip and doors have been replaced at one time
inner fenders are made out of 1/8 inch steel, nice job done on them
have a title

/Add. I am trying to get pictures now, but I am curious if this was a factory combo, or if someone Frankenstein-ed this truck together. No shame in that, I just would like to know.
