Steering shaft parts sources?

Recently bought a used '71 tilt column and intermediate shaft for my project. The splines on the column end look good. However, some of the splines on the top of the intermediate shaft are smashed and smooth. Only explanation can be the 2 parts came from different vehicles. Question, can I purchase (new preferred) just the top end of this intermediate shaft and the rubber seal anywhere? Or am I stuck trying to find a good used part with clean splines somewhere. See pic. Any help is most appreciated....
