Bed alignment

I'm sure that this has been discussed before but I'm having trouble finding an answer to my question... I was looking at a 1967 shortbed chevy and noticed the bed seemed to be out of line. On one side, it stuck out about 1"-1 1/2". It was harder to tell, but the other side seemed to be in the same amount. I looked under the truck and it looks as if the person didn't use the original holes to mount the bed. I'm a newbie at this and wanted to know if anyone had any diagrams about the mounting locations for the bed. Finally, should the alignment raise any concerns? Thanks in advance.
