2003 Sierra 4.3 V6 to V8 help..where to start...suggestions????

I have a 2003 Sierra 4.3 auto. I have been wanting to sell it, but I have recently thought about keeping it and doing a motor swap. The truck has bags on the front, with shaved taillights and rollpan/hide away hitch. It would be a good truck with a v8. I have found some articles that say the 5.3 is the best match for upgrading, but it says there are some issues with fuel cable, wiring, etc. Does anybody have any first hand experience with this kind of conversion or any picture documentation/progress of a v6 to v8 conversion in a Sierra? Any help would be really cool.
Thanks, Solo.
