Transmission cover bolt size

I need to refit the plastic cover that goes over the bottom of the flex plate/torque convertor and as its been off for a while the bolts ahve been eaten by a gremlin. What size bolts do I need? I have to search around as non metric bolts are not so easy to get here so I have to go to a specialist engineering suppliers and need to be able to say I need x number of y by z UNC bolts or whatever they are. Also what size bolt goes into the tapped holes in the end of a sbc head? I need to bolt up the back of the engine loom and have a hole but no bolt.
