Leaf Spring Differential to Coil Spring Truck?

I am looking for a 3.08 posi for my 72 1/2 ton, and someone on the board has a 3.08 5-lug posi differential for a leaf spring truck. I'm just assuming the spring attachment parts that are welded to the housing are different.

Has anyone changed the spring attachment parts from leaf to coil? Was it pretty straight forward? Was it worth doing? My alternative is buying a new Eaton posi and 3.08 gears and have them installed (or possibly follow well written instructions).

Any other thoughts? I also assume if I just exchange the carrier and gears that the set-up would need to be verified by a skilled differential mechanic. I was also told most mechanics don't recommend re-using gears.
