1969 CST questions

I just picked up a 1969 CST 3/4 ton LWB pickup today. Have not had a chance to check it out very closely yet, but did notice somethings that made me wonder.
One thing is that the truck has factory style disc brakes on the front that I didn't think were availible till 1971 and the other is the heavy duty rear end in a 3/4 ton. The rear end is what we call a no-spin with the rounded bolt on back cover and I think a pod/carrier that bolts out the front also. I know I have seen these before on 60's trucks, but they were all 1 tons.
Someone put a sticker over the glove box info sheet, so I think that may be unreadable, but the motor looks to be a 350 backed by a turbo 400 trans.
Truck body is in fairly bad shape, so I may end up pulling the motor and tranny and end up parting/scraping the rest.
Truck also came with a 1975 454/turbo 400 combo in the back out of an Empress motor home with supposidly 42,000 miles on it. Will have a closer look tomorrow.
