87/98 Chevy Rear Brakes???????

I have a 87 chevy shortbed pickup, I am going to pickup a 98 Silverado Rear End this weekend for my 87 pickup. The question, Is what late model vehicle has disc brakes to replace the drum brakes that come on the 98 rear end. I am trying to avoid spending $600 on a aftermarket kit for that rear end.
