Steering column seal replacement and other column advice requested
What are you guys using for the seal that is on the intermediate shaft on a 72 tilt column? Mine is all torn up. Are you replacing that old joint with a new u joint from a newer vehicle (and which one if you are) that does not have to have grease in it and a seal? If I have to weld something on it that will not be a problem. Also is it a bad idea to hard wire the steering column into the (Painless) wiring harness? That half moon 40 year old connection seems like a cesspool of electrical problems just waiting to happen!! I am thinking of soldering it all together once I get the rest of the cab how I want it
