When did you realize you had it bad for the C-10??

I realized I was hooked on these model trucks longgggg time ago. I mean hooked like a junky When I was a young kid the neighborhood "Cool Guy" had a 78" that was sweet. All the kids used to go hang out at his crib and he would let us wash it for him. As I got a little older, my step dads best friend bought a 1985 Silverado brand new. I was the summer before I went to High School. This truck was so clean it was hypnotising. I used to wash it every weekend for him. He would pay me $5 but I loved that truck so much I would have done it for "free". He kept it until around 95-96 and wound up with a newer one that just wasnt as appealing. In 2008 I purchased my 1981 GMC Shortbed which happens to be the 1st pickup truck I owned. My wife asked me what the hell I wanted an old truck like that for?? I just laughed and said "you wouldnt understand" the day i bought it i went straight to the parts store for sand paper and primer, and to certifit for lights, lenses, trim etc... she just dont understand
