Need suggestions for a family hauler

I'm looking for suggestions on an older vehicle to restore that will seat 4. With our limited income, a new car is out of the question, even if I liked any of them. I'm looking for something that has some nice lines, preferably something you can still get parts for, but isn't so popular that a decent one costs a small fortune. There is a 63 4 door nova in town i've had my eye on. That would be awesome with an LS transplant and a 5 or 6 speed.

Seriously though, something I can build into a run around town car, and maybe a road trip or two and gets better than 13mpg. Our durango gets 13 highway/9 city and is starting to be a real pain. Thanks.
